What it’s about: Getting started with OR fixing the missing foundation in basics of reading (depending on the need of your child)
What your child will learn: Children will master letter sounds, practice blending sounds together to read simple three-letter words (like cat and hop), and build the confidence to start reading their very first words.
Phase 2: Becoming a Fluent Reader
What it’s about: Moving past single letters to read smoother and faster.
What your child will learn: Children will learn more complex letter combinations (like sh, ch, and th), recognize common sight words instantly, and transition from sounding out every single letter to reading full sentences with ease.
Phase 3: Reading to Understand & Speak Clearly
What it’s about: Understanding the story and expressing thoughts confidently.
What your child will learn: Children will move from just reading words to truly understanding the stories. They will grow their vocabulary, practice answering questions about what they read, and build the communication skills needed to speak clearly and confidently.
